Our co-owner and project leader Jarno Stoffele talked to Pelserhartman about the efficiency and quality involved in the use of 3D scanning.

3D scanning is a frequently used tool for us. We see the advantages of this, especially in complex or extensive projects where high accuracy is necessary. During our engineering process and realization phase we work with Pelserhartman’s 3D scans and we clearly see the benefits in every project.

Some of the benefits are:

  1. It is an excellent presentation tool. You can see exactly what the new installation will look like and the environment is recognizable. This makes it immediately clear to everyone what is being made.
  2. 100% prefab (pre-fabrication) of new pipes can be obtained from it.
  3. Huge time saving
  4. After scanning the room once, we can carry out the engineering remotely. We even scanned a project in Egypt and then did all the engineering from the Netherlands!
  5. We can remove clashes from the design at an early stage using 3D scanning.

Our customers have a 24/7 production process and strive for minimal downtime and risks. A well-detailed design, the possibility of prefabrication, and the reduction of potential risks during implementation are essential for a smooth and reliable realization phase or conversion.
